BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Andrew T. Frawley, age 49, of Brooklyn, N.Y., and a former Lynnfield resident, died accidentally Aug. 9 in Alabama.
He was born in Lynn on May 9, 1967 and was the beloved son of Arthur J. Frawley Jr. and Barbara (McGarry) Frawley of Lynnfield.
Mr. Frawley was raised in Lynn and Lynnfield and was a graduate of the Berklee College of Music in Boston. He spent his adult life traveling the world, playing music and making friends wherever he went. Mr. Frawley was active in the Brooklyn, N.Y., music scene as a drummer and played for several groups. Most recently he had been a member of “Midnight Magic” of Brooklyn. Mr. Frawley was a devoted son, brother, uncle and friend to all.
In addition to his parents, he is also survived by his brother, Arthur J. Frawley III and his wife Dr. Margaret Vereb-Frawley of Alabama; his sister, Debbie Bates and her husband Jeff of Danvers; his two nephews, Arthur IV and Ryan, and his three nieces, Hope, Kelly and Kaitlyn. Mr. Frawley was predeceased by his sister Susan Frawley.
Service information: His funeral will be held from the McDONALD Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., in Wakefield on Friday at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass in the Our Lady of the Assumption Church, corner of Grove and Salem streets, in Lynnfield, at 10 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Lynnfield.
