William A. Conway, Jr., age 52, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 9th at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, MA, after a lengthy illness, surrounded by his family.
Born in Lynn, he was the son of William A. Conway, Sr. and Lorraine P. (DeSilva) Conway of Lynn. In addition to his parents he is survived by his sister Cheryl Irvin and her husband John, his niece Lindsay and nephew David all from Londonderry, NH, as well as his best friend since childhood, David Higgins of Manchester, NH and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He attended and graduated from Lynn schools and served in the U.S. Army. Bill was employed as a machinist at the General Electric Riverworks Plant for many years. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and loved riding his Harley Davidson. He also enjoyed traveling, found peace spending time at the beach, and adored his niece and nephew.
Service information: A private wake and funeral service was held at the Parker Funeral Home, 35 Franklin St., Lynn, MA on Friday June 12th with the Rev. Jack Swanson officiating. Cremation followed at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park.
