Margaret D. Sullivan, 91

SwampscottMargaret Dominica (Spinale) Sullivan. 91, beloved wife of the late Robert G. Sullivan Sr., died peacefully on June 10, at home in the presence of her family.

Born in Swampscott, she was the daughter of the late Dominic Spinale and Francesca (Gulino) Spinale. She graduated from Swampscott High School and later Burdett Business School in Lynn. She lived in Swampscott for her entire life.

Mrs. Sullivan retired from the Town of Swampscott, where she had roles in both the Superintendent of Schools office as well as in the Town Accountant’s office.

“Peggy,” along with her husband Bob, enjoyed the local sports teams, as an avid Red Sox fan. She liked to knit, do jigsaw puzzles, bake and shop. Up until recent years she was active in the Holy Family Church choir and was a longtime ticket holder at the North Shore Music Theater.

“Peggy” also enjoyed traveling to many parts of the eastern U.S. to visit friends and family from Maine, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, the Carolina’s and Florida.

Margaret is survived by her sons, John F. Sullivan and his wife, Marion, of Swampscott, Robert and his wife, Diane, of Milton, Ga., five grandchildren, Lauren Sullivan, Andrew Bonaiuto, Brendan, Patrick and Natalie Sullivan, and one great-granddaughter, Jada Sullivan and several nieces and nephews and their children. She was pre-deceased by Mrs. Lenora Gallo, Mrs. Agatha (Agnes) Marano, Mrs. Carmela Gratiano, Mrs. Frances Tranfaglia, Mrs. Virginia D’Amico, Mr. Richard Spinale, Mr. Frank Spinale, Mr. Joseph Spinale and their spouses.

Service information: Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for his funeral to be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at 11:30 a.m., from the Solimine Funeral Home, 67 Ocean St., (Route 1A), Lynn, followed by a funeral Mass in the Holy Family Church, Lynn, at 12 p.m. Burial will be in Swampscott Cemetery.
