Bernice R. Fennelly, 84

LYNNBernice (Albert) Rounds Fennelly, 84, of Salisbury, formerly of Lynn and Malden, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2016, at her home surrounded by her family. Born in Malden, Bernice was the daughter of the late Maxwell and Ida (Heffron) Albert. She was the beloved wife of the late John Fennelly and the late John Rounds She was the loving mother of Ronald Rounds and his wife, Maureen, of Brentwood, N.H., Stephen Rounds and his wife, Rosemary, of Florida, Paul Rounds and his wife, Mary, of Salisbury and Deborah Derosier and her husband, Thomas, of Cataumet, the stepmother of Thomas Fennelly of Bridgewater, Steven Fennelly of Lynn, Doris Tzevelakakis and her husband, George, of Arlington, and Susan Lewis and her husband, Keith, of Bridgewater, the dear sister of Lorraine Daniluk of Salisbury and the late Edward Albert, the cherished grandmother of 15 grandchildren and the proud great-grandmother of five great-grandchildren and the aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Bernice was a waitress at Mrs. Foster’s Donuts on Chestnut Street in Lynn for many years before it closed. She enjoyed reading, clothes shopping, music and dancing. Most of all, she loved spending time with her entire family, especially her grandchildren. Bernice was also very well- known and appreciated for sending out many carefully chosen and personalized, hand-written greeting cards to her family and friends, which expressed her love and caring for them. In addition, she enjoyed spending time with her friends, including the staff, at Aviv Centers for Living in Peabody’s Day Program.

Service information: Bernice’s funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 15, at 11:30 a.m., at the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St., Lynn. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park will follow. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, June 14,from 3-7 p.m., in the funeral home.
