LYNN — Donald R. Morley, 82, lifelong Lynn resident, died Friday, Feb. 28, 2020, surrounded by his loving family, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Lynn to the late Frank and Evelyn (Blowers) Morley, Donald attended Lynn schools, and then served in the Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. After his service in the Marine Corps, Donald worked for Flying Tiger Air Line, which became FedEx, for more than 30 years.
He was the loving husband of 60 years to Mary (Zukowski) Morley, having just celebrated their anniversary on Feb. 5. He loved golfing, traveling to Clearwater, Fla., and the Red Sox and Patriots. Most of all, Donald enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Donald is survived by his beloved wife Mary; three daughters, Michele Capano and her husband Peter of Lynn, Dawn LeBlanc and her husband James of Danvers, Kelly Morley of Lynn; seven grandchildren, Dena DiPardo and her husband Nick of Lynn, Stephen Capano of Lynn, Jennilee Rideout and her husband Chris of Danvers, Bradley LeBlanc, Aimee LeBlanc, Julie LeBlanc and Kailee LeBlanc all of Danvers; one great-granddaughter, Vera Lynn; brother-in-law, Peter Turner and his wife Kathy of Peabody; many nieces and nephews, especially Bethany, Annmarie, Gabriel, Patricia, Michael, Kathy and Jerry, his dear friends Vinny and Nancy Lozzi, Al LeBlanc, and his beloved cat Frankie. He was predeceased by his six siblings, Frank, Richard, Edward, Evelyn, Lenora and Frances.
Service information: A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at 7 p.m. at SOLIMINE Funeral Home, 67 Ocean St. (Route 1A), Lynn. Visiting hours will be prior to the service from 4-7 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
