PEABODY — Kenneth J. Legere, age 60, of Peabody, died on Friday, May 31, 2019, at Massachusetts General Hospital, from injuries he sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Born and raised in Lynn, he was the son of the late Leo and Martina (Halloran) Legere. He attended Lynn schools and was a graduate of Lynn Vocational Technical Institute, Class of 1976. He had lived his entire life in Lynn prior to moving to Peabody 15 years ago.
Kenny had worked as a plumber for 45 years, many of those years for Charlie Cashin Plumbing.
He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, enjoying rides, especially to the beach. His infectious smile, boisterous voice and personality lit up a room when he entered. Kenny loved the time that he spent with his grandchildren.
He is survived by two brothers, Jeffrey Legere, and Christopher Legere and his wife Colleen, all of Peabody; his better half and significant other for 18 years, Lisa Byors of Salem and her sons, whom he considered his own, David, Craig, Sean and his wife Danielle, Danny and Joey Byors; he will be dearly missed by his grandchildren, Jonathan, Elliane and Anthony; and his many aunts, uncles and cousins, including his devoted aunt, Barbara Legere. He was also the brother of the late Gregory Legere.
Service information: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 p.m. in the SOLIMINE Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Route 129), Lynn. Following cremation, his funeral will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Jean’s Cemetery.
