Katherine “Katie” (Vousboukis) Chiklis, 80, passed Saturday, March 30, 2019.
Born Lynn to Peter and Rita (Moran) Vousboukis.
Katie is survived by her sons, Peter Chiklis of New Hampshire and Michael Chiklis and wife Michelle Chiklis of California; and granddaughters Autumn and Odessa Chiklis of California; her siblings, brother Daniel and wife Muriel Vousboukis of Swampscott, sister Alice Leblanc (deceased), brother Peter Vousboukis Jr. (deceased) and Carin Vousboukis of Lynn, sister Mary Vousboukis-Griffen of Buzzards Bay, brother John Vousboukis and Kathy Vousboukis of New Hampshire, brother William Vousboukis and Elaine Vousboukis of Swampscott, sister Lisa Vousboukis-Sandler and Mark Sandler of Lynn, and a large family of nieces nephews and cousins who loved her dearly.
Growing up Katie attended several Lynn schools and graduated from Swampscott High School. She went on to study in Boston at Berklee College of Music as a vocalist and earned a degree in Horticulture from Essex Agricultural College, Danvers.
In younger years Katie became the “voice of the daily agriculture market” on WBZ morning radio.
An avid patron of the arts, Katie was an original supporter of the Merrimack Regional Theater in Lowell that she also performed with.
She was happiest with her pet doggy Gabriel, gardening, singing and family.
