LYNN — Mrs. Kathleen E. “Elva” (Saulnier) Kelley, age 96, of Lynn, died peacefully at the Devereaux House, Marblehead on Monday April 1, 2019. She was the wife of the late Edward J. Kelley Jr.
A lifelong resident of Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Kathleen (Murray) Saulnier. She attended Lynn schools and was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School.
Elva had worked for more than 20 years as a Yellow Pages representative for NYNEX.
Elva was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, yearly trips to Arizona, and being outdoors in her backyard.
She is survived by three daughters, Mary-Jo DeJoy and her husband Anthony of Lynn, Joan K. Pelletier and her husband Marc of Florida, and Colleen Kelley Richards and her husband Jay of Lynn; a son-in-law, Mike Shea; six grandchildren, Tracy DeJoy-Wahbeh and her husband George, Kelley Bresnahan and her husband David, Christopher Shea and his wife Sandra, Brian Shea and his wife Alicia, Jarrod Richards, and Michael Shea and his partner Brian Rogers; 10 great-grandchildren, Kyra, Meeghan, Dillon, Jacob, Samantha, Alex, Kristine, Joseph, Kylee and Brian Jr.; two sisters, M. Helen English and Anne Neary; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Kathleen Kelley and Sue Anne Shea, and the sister of the late Joan Saulnier.
Service information: Her funeral will be held on Friday at 9 a.m. from the SOLIMINE Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Route 129), Lynn, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Lynnfield.
