Debra L. Lozzi, 62

PEABODY — Debra Lee (McCormick) Lozzi, age 62, of Peabody and formerly of Lynn, died at her home on Tuesday, March 12, 2019, surrounded by her loving family, following a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of Nick Lozzi, with whom she shared 43 years of marriage.

Born in Lynn in 1956, Debra was the daughter of the late Merle and June (O’Blenes) McCormick. She was a 1974 graduate of Lynn English High School and received her associate’s degree from Newbury Jr. College of Boston.

She worked at Family and Children Services as a fiscal manager for more than 22 years. Debra was an active member of Austin Square Baptist Church of Lynn where she also served as treasurer and taught Sunday School and Kids Club for many years. Debra loved being surrounded by her family for holidays and get-togethers after church for dinner and desserts. She loved vacationing with her family in Orlando, Fla., Merrymeeting Lake in New Hampshire and Old Orchard Beach in Maine. She loved being “Mimi” and spoiling her grandchildren, Arianna and her husband Kyle, Kristina, Hailey, CJ, Jacob and Nathan.

In addition to her husband and grandchildren, Debra was the beloved mother of Robert Lozzi and his wife Kathi of Lynn, Rachel Green and her husband Corey of Peabody and Katelyn Ranahan and her husband Patrick of Lynn. She is also survived by her brothers, Richard McCormick and his wife Cindy of Biddeford, Maine, and Robert McCormick of Lynn; her sister-in-law, Deborah McCormick of Peabody; and her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Michael Lozzi, Vincent and Phyllis Lozzi, Wayne and Kathy Lozzi, Daniel and Laurie Lozzi, and Valerie and Jim Tracy; her father-in-law, Vincent Lozzi; and her many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. In addition to her parents, Debra was predeceased by her brother Donald McCormick and mother-in-law Ruth (Werner) Lozzi.  

Service information: A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 15, 2019 in Austin Square Baptist Church, 10 Keslar Ave., Lynn, at 12 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be in the church on Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., prior to the service. Arrangements entrusted to SOLIMINE Funeral Homes, Lynn.
