Mary Zaccagnini, of Lynn, passed away on Dec. 5, 2018. She was 82 years old. Born in Cambridge, she was the beloved daughter of the late Josephine (Smedile) and Rocco DeFrancisco. She grew up in Cambridge before moving to Lynn over 39 years ago.
She was the devoted wife of the late Rocco J. Zaccagnini and the loving mother of Ronald Zaccagnini of Lynn, Cherylann Catanzaro and her husband Gerald of Winchester, Robert Zaccagnini, Loretta Zaccagnini, and Eric Zaccagnini, all of Lynn. Dear sister of Robert DeFrancisco of Arlington, Gerald DeFrancisco of Cape Cod, Linda Lucas of New Hampshire, and the late Rosalie Niskanen, Joseph, Andrew “Dee” and Dominic DeFrancisco. Also survived by 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, sister-in-laws, and many nieces and nephews.
Mary enjoyed doing antique shows and cooking for her great grandchildren. Mary loved animals and always had a pet or two in the family home.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the Caggiano Funeral Home 147 Winthrop St., Winthrop on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018 from noon to 2 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home immediately following the visitation at 2 p.m.
