LYNN — Ellen P. (Conway) Hilton, 66, of Lynn, passed away unexpectedly.
Born in Lynn to the late Francis and Patricia (Gainey) Conway, Ellen grew up in Nahant, and spent the majority of her life living in Lynn. Ellen graduated from Lynn Classical, Class of 1969, then earned her bachelor’s degree from Salem State, and then continued her education at Harvard University where she obtained a professional certificate.
Prior to and after raising her children, Ellen worked for Operation Bootstrap in Lynn and then as a human resource specialist for the U.S. government, where she recently retired from. She loved dancing, crossword puzzles, Sudoku, and was an avid reader. Above all, she loved being “The Na-Na” to her beloved grandchildren Anabelle, Gwendolyn, Abigail, and Harrison.
Ellen is survived by her children, Rachel and Daniel Dulong of Lynn, and Joshua and Elizabeth Hilton of Lynn; her siblings, Christine and William Rappa of Danvers, Carol Conway of Danvers, Brian and Heidi Conway of Plymouth, Colleen and John Heaphy of Lynn, Thomas and Claire Conway of Danvers, Moira and William Hussey of Nahant, Mark and Kim Conway of Nahant, Michael and Carole Conway of Danvers, Johannah Conway and Philip McCabe of Lynnfield; sister-in-law Linda Conway of Lynn, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, and her brother Patrick Conway.
Service information: Ellen’s funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2018 at the SOLIMINE Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Route 129) Lynn, followed by burial at Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
