Marie Fanise Jean, 65 years, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2017 after lengthy illness at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, surrounded by her family. She was a hardworking, God fearing, loving and caring mother, wife, sister and friend, born in Haiti on June 15, 1952. She was the daughter of the late Romanes and Virginie Douyon Gabriel.
She immigrated to the United States in 1988, where she met her husband of 24 years. She worked as a Dietary Aide at Belmont Manor Nursing Home in Belmont for 26 years. She attended El Siloe Seventh Day Adventist Church in Lynn and served as a deaconess for many years. She had a heart for God and enjoyed sharing the Gospel with everyone she met. She always had a song upon her lips, no matter where she was. She touched many lives with her kind and cheerful spirit.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters Anne Tamarah Jean, Luvie Christa Jean, and Phoebe Angeline Jean, all of Lynn, two sisters locally Gislaine Mathieu of Lynn, Souvenise Douyon of Lynn, several other sisters and brothers in Haiti, and many nieces and nephews and cousins.
Service information: Funeral services will be held at the El Siloe Seven Day Adventist Church 10 Baltimore St. Lynn on Wednesday at 11 a.m., visiting hours will be held prior to the funeral at the church from 9–11 a.m. to which relatives and friends are invited to attend.
