MIDDLETON — Mrs. Donna Marie (Jones) Reynolds, age 68, of Middleton, died on Saturday, July 22, 2017, at Beverly Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, following complications from a stroke she suffered in August of 2015. She was the beloved wife of Richard K. Reynolds with whom she shared almost 49 years of marriage.
Born in Lynn in 1949, Donna was the daughter of Barbara A. Jones of Middleton and the late Robert S. Jones, Sr.. She was raised in Lynn, attended Lynn Public Schools and graduated from Lynn English High School in 1967. She lived the greater part of her life in Danvers and has lived in Middleton for the past 10 years. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who chose to stay at home to raise her children and grandchildren. When her children were grown, Donna began working at Vantage Personnel starting as a receptionist and later as a sales consultant and manager. She held a hairdressing and manicurist license and worked at the family salon, Jack and Jill Hair Boutique for many years. She enjoyed traveling especially to Aruba and Florida where she was able spend time with her grandchildren. Donna and Richard were awarded ambassadorships at a ceremony in Aruba for over 20 years of consecutive annual visits.
In addition to her husband Richard and mother Barbara, Donna is survived by her son Richard K. Reynolds and his wife Lindsey of Boca Raton, Fla., her daughter Jodi A. Brett and her husband Jason of Danvers, her four granddaughters Samantha, Taylor, Skylar and Paisley, her siblings Robert S. Jones. Jr. and his partner Michelle Ayers of Reading, Scott E. Jones and his wife Lisa of Wakefield, Kristin M. Carmody and her husband Kevin of Nahant and the late Pamela A. Messinger and her husband Richard of Lynn, her In-laws Stanley and Irene Danisiewicz of Lynnfield, her sister-in-law Jean Walsh and her husband Michael of Jacksonville, Fla. and many nieces, nephews and other close family and friends.
Service information: A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 26 in St. Richard Church, 90 Forest St., Danvers at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday at the SOLIMINE Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Rt. 129), Lynn from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Donna’s memory may be made to Department of Neurology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, 330 Brookline Ave., Boston MA 02215, Care of: Office of Development “In Memory of Donna M.
