OSSIPEE N.H. — Mr. Ralph “Butchie” V. Gregorio, 70, of Ossipee, N.H.,formerly of Lynn and Saugus, passed away on Tuesday, June 6th at Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro, N.H. He was the loving husband of Nan (Champagne) Gregorio with whom he shared 34 years of marriage.
Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Ralph and Mary (Ciampa) Gregorio. A proud graduate of Lynn Classical in 1964, Butchie went on to serve with the air force, serving two tours in Vietnam in the 4th Air Commando Squadron. After returning home, he spent over 30 years in law enforcement, 25 of them with the Department of Defense, assigned to Portsmouth Naval Yard. After his retirement, he explored many hobbies and became a successful published author with five books in print. He also spent time as a private detective, and in his leisure time enjoyed hunting, fishing and restoring vintage cars.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his beloved son Larry Gregorio and his wife Mary of Texas; his step-son William and his wife Melanie and step-daughter, Johnie; his brother William Gregorio of Fla., his twin sister Roberta Casey and her husband Paul of Saugus. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and his devoted dog Stella who will greatly miss their long walks through the woods together. He will be remembered by family and friends for his sharp wit, devotion to his family and dogs, and his enthusiasm for a good story.
