SARASOTA, Fla. — Barbara E. Murphy, 96 of Sarasota, Fla., formally of Marblehead, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2017. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank Murphy, who she shared over 45 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Marblehead, Barbara spent the majority of her life in Marblehead raising a family and living life to the fullest. She spent her latter years soaking up the sun in Sarasota, Fla. Barbara enjoyed spending time on Siesta Key Beach, reading, playing scrabble and weekly lunch dates with girlfriends.
Barbara is survived by her daughters, Donna Latoszek, of Bradenton, Fla., and Paula Smith and her husband, Stephen, of Naples, Maine. She was the grandmother of Joann Brown, Mark Brown, Jennifer Snow and Jeremy Smith, as well as great-grandmother to Charlotte Snow, Victoria Snow and Jeremy J. Smith. Who will all miss her dearly.
Service information: A private memorial service will be held in the spring for family members.
