Georgia S. Pappas, 70

LYNNGeorgia S. Pappas, age 70, formerly of Lynn, died Tuesday, Jan. 17. She was the daughter of the late Ralph and Ruth (Nikitopulos) Mastromarino. She attended Lynn schools and had lived in Lynn for the greater part of her life.

As a young girl, Georgia was tutored at home by Miss Jean from Romper Room. She loved movies and crossword puzzles. Her greatest joy came from time spent with family.

She is survived by her sisters; Harriet Chopelas, Christine Mastromarino and Constance Mastromarino; her godson; Nicholas Whorf; nephews; Scott Barlow and Andrew Whorf; two brothers-in-law Edward “Butch” Barlow, and Philip Burrill; her godmother, Mary Stratus, as well as her great-nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Olympia Barlow, and the aunt of the late Athena Chopelas-Nigro.

Service information: Her funeral will be held on Tuesday at 12 p.m. in St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 54 S. Common St., Lynn. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday from 11 a.m. – 12p.m., prior to the funeral. Arrangements by the SOLIMINE Funeral Home, Lynn.
