DANVERS — Pelino W. “Bill” Corsetti, age 92, of Danvers, formerly of Lynn, died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016, peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Mary (Cardarelli) Corsetti, and the son of the late Attilio and Mary (Sciarretta) Corsetti. Born and raised in Lynn, he was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School, Class of 1942. He was a United States Army veteran, stationed in Oahu, Hawaii. He served from May 1943 to February 1946 as a sergeant. He was awarded the American Theater Campaign Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Victory Medal and the Asiatic Pacific Theater Campaign Ribbon. He lived in Swampscott for many years before moving to Danvers 15 years ago to be closer to family. Bill worked as a foreman for General Electric Corporation, Flight Propulsion Division. He was a parishioner of Holy Family Church in Lynn and was former Grand Knight at the former Knights of Columbus in Swampscott. He enjoyed boating, fishing and traveling.
He is survived by his son Robert Corsetti and his wife Lynn of Monson, Mass., his daughters, Lisa Campbell and her husband Kevin of Danvers, Karen Ouwinga and her husband Dale of Wrentham, Carol Koles and her husband John of Haverhill and Lorraine Franco and her husband Kenneth of Florida. He also leaves his grandchildren, Dana Tannatt, Michael and Jeffrey Addorisio, Katelyn Bentley, Kristen Fulton, Daniel and Christopher Campbell, Rebecca, Rachel, Victoria and Matthew Corsetti, great-grandchildren, Abigail and Amelia Tannatt, Christopher, Sydney, Jessica, Gabriella and Isabella Addorisio, Thomas Bentley, and his aunt Sally Sciarretta of Lynn and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Richard Corsetti.
Service information: His funeral will be held from the SOLIMINE Funeral Home, 67 Ocean St. (Rt. 1A) Lynn on Monday at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church, Lynn. Interment will be in Swampscott Cemetery. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
