CLEARWATER, Fla. — Mrs. Joan (Gianopoulos) George, 98 years of Clearwater, Fla., died Friday, July 15, 2016. She was the wife of the late Dr. John George and the late Charles Lazarakis. She was born in Lynn, the daughter of the late Ilias and Kleanthe (Tournas) Gianopoulos.
Mrs. George was a Broadway actress, a former Commander of the Apollo in the Sea organization, a member of the Mensa Society, KhaKahn.
She is survived by her sister, Polly Stathis and several nieces and nephews.
