LYNN — Elizabeth “Liz” F. (Gallagher) Restuccia, age 67 years, of Lynn, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones, Thursday evening, February 25, 2016, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. Born in Everett, she was the dear daughter of the late Francis and Elizabeth (Donovan) Gallagher.
Liz had been employed for 22 years as a clerk for the United State Postal Service. Previous to the USPS, Liz was employed as an administrative assistant at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she built many lifelong friendships. Liz was a gifted musician, singer and storyteller. She filled the lives of everyone she touched with warmth, joy and humor. The countless people she touched around the country will miss her deeply.
She is survived by her companion, Roger J. Dumont Jr., of Lynn, her sister, Ann M. Littlewood of Amesbury, her nephew, Michael Littlewood and his wife, Margaret, of Andover, her niece, Dawn Hinxman of Haverhill, her nephew, Thomas Hinxman and his wife, Julie, of Dracut, five great-nieces and nephews, Hannah, Griffin and Michaela Littlewood, Alex and Maddie Carvahlo and Ella Hinxman, many Dumont family members, including Teresa Dumont of Lynn, Greg, Karen, Eva and David Dumont of Boxford, Tom and Tess McGann of Lynn, Melissa Dumont of Lynn, and countless friends. Liz was also predeceased by her sister, Mary (Gallagher) Hinxman of Dracut.
Service information: Elizabeth’s funeral service and interment will be held privately. All friends and family are invited to join in a celebration of Liz’s life on March 13, 2016, at 1 p.m., at the Ancient Order of Hibernians, 105 Federal St., Lynn.
