Lynn — Kenneth B. MacNichol Jr., age 85, a lifetime resident of Lynn, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2016, at his residence. He was the husband of Doris L. (Price) MacNichol, with whom he shared 65 years of marriage.
Ken started his career in the manufacturing of footwear products, rising through the ranks into inside sales and eventually outside sales. He ultimately acquired his own company in 1982, Eastern Steel Shank, Inc. originally located in South Easton and then relocated closer to home in Peabody in 1989. Ken worked both in the manufacturing and sales of his products until he retired in 1996.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his six children, Karen E. Federico of Peabody, Kenneth B. MacNichol III of Georgetown, Maureen S. Webster of Modesto, Calif., Kathleen A. Deslisle of Manchester, Stephen F. MacNichol of Lynn and William D. MacNichol of Peabody, 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Service information: Visitation will be held in the Goodrich Funeral Home, 128 Washington St., Lynn, on Friday, 10 a.m., to 12 noon. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend.
