LYNN — Greta D. Medros, age 92, of Lynn, died Wednesday, December 23, at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital, Melrose, after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Leonard Medros, her husband of 57 years. A lifelong resident of Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Algy (LaMonica) DeFelice. She was a graduate of Lynn English High School, a member of the Drum and Bugle Corps. She worked as a secretary at the Bargain Spot, a coat girl at the Hook and Ladder, and finished her career as a barmaid at the Tides Restaurant, Nahant. She was a true Boston Sports fan, with her number one team the Red Sox. Hobbies included playing cards and bingo, gambling, and socializing. Her most enjoyable times were spent with her family, including children and grandchildren. She is survived by her children Cheryl Howard and her companion Bill Helton, of Lynn, Frank Medros and his wife Rachel, of Raymond, NH, and Sandra Paone and her husband Anthony, of Lynn. Her five grandchildren, Jennifer Howard, of Marblehead, Kristen and David Swerling of Middleton, Kerri and Christopher Carroll of Salem, Chelsey Paone, of Saugus, and Zachary Paone, of Lynn, great-grandchildren Jason and Olivia Swerling, Brayden Howard-Knight and Arianna Carroll. She was the sister of the late Joseph DeFelice, Madelyn Malo and Vilma DeFelice. May she rest in peace.
Service Information: Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 from 10:30AM-12:30PM in the Solimine Funeral Home 426 Broadway, Lynn. Adhering to the guidelines of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, a maximum of 25 family and friends at one time will be allowed in the Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
