LYNNFIELD — Phyllis Ann (Moran) Kennedy, age 90, passed away peacefully in her home on December 17th, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Robert Kennedy, with whom she shared over 68 years of marriage.
Born in Swampscott, MA on August 27, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Laurence and Alice (Kelleher) Moran. Phyllis graduated from Swampscott High School, and then continued on to complete a secretary program at the Kathleen Dell School. Following her education, she worked alongside her husband at Moran Fuel Company as a budget manager for many years.
In her free time, Phyllis loved spending time with her husband and with their many friends, as well as vacationing every summer in North Conway, New Hampshire. She was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Church, as well as their social group. Above all else though, Phyllis loved her family, and the memories she made with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren will last forever.
Along with her dear husband, Phyllis is survived by her children, Paul Kennedy and his wife Debbie of Lynnfield, Anne Hourihan and her husband Mark of Danvers, and John Kennedy and his wife Sharon of N. Attleboro; her grandchildren, Courtney Willard and her husband Randy of Uxbridge, Robert Kennedy of Middleton, Michael Kennedy of Chicago, Kate Freeman and her husband Brad of Melrose, Sara Cully and her wife Broghan of Somerville, Mark Hourihan and his wife Mollie of Boston, Daniel Kennedy of Norwood, and Christine Kennedy of Boston; her sister, Lois Donovan of Swampscott, as well as many other dear nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Phyllis was the beloved sister of the late Laurence Moran, formerly of Swampscott.
Arrangements: Phyllis’ Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Lynnfield, on Tuesday, December 22nd at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Swampscott Cemetery, Swampscott. Please note that masks must be worn at all times, and there is a 60 person capacity at the Church.
