Barbara M. Plecinoga, 65

SALEMBarbara M. (Stankiewicz) Plecinoga, 65, of Salem, wife of the late Peter P. Plecinoga, who died in 2014, passed away Friday, July 22, 2016 at the Blueberry Hill Healthcare Center, Beverly following a long illness.

Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Joseph F. and Eugenia (Lipinska) Stankiewicz and was a lifelong resident of the city.

Barbara was employed out of high school at John Hancock Insurance until the summer of 1971, and later worked for the Salem Evening News.

She was a lifelong parishioner of the St. John the Baptist Church. She loved playing bingo and enjoyed playing all of her Facebook games.

She is survived by three sons, Peter P. Plecinoga II and his wife, Wendy, Paul L. Plecinoga, James M. Plecinoga, a daughter, Christine M. Plecinoga, all of Salem, grandchildren, Brittany Soper, Cody Soper, Devin Soper, all of Salem, a sister, Sister Christine Marie CSSF, of Our Lady of Angels Convent, Enfield, Conn., an aunt, Alice Cote of Salem, an uncle, Rev. Louis Bilicky of Framingham, several cousins, and a dear friend whom Barbara looked upon as a sister, Deborah Branford of Williamsburg, Va. She was predeceased by an infant son, John Michael Plecinoga.

Service information: Her funeral service will be held Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016, at 9 a.m., from the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, on Salem Common, Salem, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m., at the St. John the Baptist Church, Salem. Burial is in St Mary Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours are in the funeral home, Wednesday, from 4-8 p.m. Donations may be made in her memory to Our Lady of Angels Convent, 1315 Enfield St., Enfield, CT 06082.
