PEABODY — Marilyn T. (Sowinski) Calvani, age 68 years, of Peabody, formerly of Lynn, died Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at Salem Hospital, following a brief illness. She was the daughter of Sara (Thibodeau) Sowinski of Lynn and the late Edward Sowinski.
Born in Lynn on April 4, 1948, she was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School, Class of 1965. She worked as a server in the Lynn area for many years. Marilyn enjoyed playing Keno and scratch tickets, working her crossword puzzles and spending time with family. She especially enjoyed her children, grandchildren and her best pal, her dog Copper.
Besides her loving mother Sara, Marilyn is survived by her children, Nancy Craig of Peabody, Robert Downing of Parma, Ohio, and Tanya Farese and her husband, Anthony, of Peabody, her grandchildren, Evan, Bobby, Elexiah, Gianni, Maddison, Anthony Jr., Michaela, Jake and Jett, great-grandchildren, Sienna, Isabella and Sylas, her brother, William Sowinski and his wife, Joan, of North Carolina, and her former husband Robert Calvani.
