LYNN — Priscilla Corcoran Oates, age 79, of Lynn, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, July 13, 2020 with her family.
A lifelong resident of Lynn, Priscilla was the cherished daughter of the late Michael B. “Mickey” and Dorothy M. (Kane) Corcoran. She attended Lynn schools and was a graduate of St. Mary Girls High School, Class of 1959.
Priscilla worked at the General Electric Turbine Division in Lynn for many years. She most recently worked at Harvard Pilgrim Health Care in the legal office until her retirement in 2008.
She was an active communicant of Sacred Heart Parish in Lynn, and served as the secretary of the Sacred Heart St. Vincent dePaul Society. She was a member of the Sacred Heart “Knotty Knitters” group and the LAOH, Division 10, Lynn.
Priscilla was a devoted mother, adored grandmother and dear sister. She is survived by her daughter, Donna M. Brown of Lynn; and her grandson, Ethan J. Brown and his fiancé Kelsey Nielsen of New Market, N.H. Sister of Margaret J. Wilson of Franklin, N.H., Michael B. Corcoran Jr. of Lynn, Lawrence E. Corcoran of Lynn, and the late Richard J. and Carolyn Corcoran and William T. and Kathleen Corcoran. Also survived and will be missed by countless family and friends.
Priscilla was a true example of love, strength, kindness and class.
Service information: Visiting hours are on Thursday, July 16, 2020 from 4-8 p.m. in the SOLIMINE Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Route 129), Lynn. Her funeral Mass will be private. Adhering to the guidelines of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the CDC, visitation will be limited to 40 family members and friends.
