LYNN — Eveline (Garnier) Garraud, age 78, of Lynn, died Sunday in Massachusetts General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Deberle Garraud.
Born and raised in Haiti, she was the daughter of Sireaque Garnier and Odette Civil. She had lived in Lynn since coming to the United States in 1988.
Eveline devoted her life to her family and helping others. She was the foundation and the matriarch of her family. A devoted mother and grandmother who would do anything for her family. She raised all her children with love and instilled a great sense of faith in them. She loved to cook and entertain her family and friends.
She is survived by her eight children, Erlande Noel, Philippe Garraud, Ronald Garraud, Heber Garraud, Dadel Garraud, Bertine Garraud, Magdalah Wesh, Wilnie Petrash; and 14 grandchildren.
Service information: Visiting hours are Thursday from 6-8 p.m. in the SOLIMINE Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Route 129), Lynn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and are required to adhere to the guidelines of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the CDC and the local Board of Health that limit gatherings in the funeral home to 40 family and friends.
