LYNN — John DeMarco, age 75, of Lynn, died Friday, July 22, 2016, at a local nursing home, following a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Ada (Lowe) DeMarco, and the son of the late John and Eleanor (Kilroy) DeMarco.
Born in Revere on June 17, 1941, he was raised in Lynn, where he lived the rest of his life. He was a graduate of Lynn English High School, Class of 1959, and worked as a pipe insulator for Local #6 from 1970-2003. He previously worked for the tool and die industry in Lynn. He enjoyed playing golf at Gannon Golf Course and New Meadow Golf Course in Topsfield, bowling in the City League, fishing and playing cards.
Besides his wife, Ada, of 48 years, he is survived by his children, John DeMarco and his wife, Josilyn, of Boxford and Lisa DeMarco of Waltham, his two grandchildren, Samantha and William DeMarco of Boxford and his niece, Laurie Summers of Alabama. He was the brother of the late Betty Thistle.
Service information: A memorial service will be held in the SOLIMINE FUNERAL HOME, 426 Broadway (Route 129) Lynn, on Thursday at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Michael J.
