Eleanor A. Durgin, 73

SALEM — Eleanor Anita (Patti) Durgin, age 73, passed away at Salem Hospital on April 22, 2020. She was the beloved wife of the late Barre Durgin.

Born in Chelsea, MA on April 7, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Eleanor (Johnston) Patti. Eleanor was a graduate of Saugus High School, and later went on to work at the Blue Moon Restaurant for many years before her retirement.

In her free time, Eleanor enjoyed playing shuffle board with her teammates, and always looked forward to her yearly vacations to Indian Head in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. She was also a member of the Women’s Auxiliary at the Franco-American AMVETS. Above all else though, Eleanor loved her family, and cherished the memories she made with them.

Surviving Eleanor is her beloved daughter, Angela Durgin and her boyfriend Jeffrey LePage of Saugus; her five grandchildren, Samantha Hurley of Saugus, Barre Hurley of Saugus, Crystal Bowman of Scowhegan, ME, Amber Garcia of Saugus, and Alisha LePage of Peabody; her three great-grandchildren, Jeremy Zion of Saugus, Lilian Leberge of Saugus, and Autumn Bowman of Peabody; her three brothers, Donald Patti of Saugus, Michael Patti and his wife Marjorie of Plymouth, and Bruce Patti and his wife Tina of Saugus, as well as many dear nieces and nephews.

Eleanor was the loving mother of the late Lisa Durgin, and sister of the late Raymond Patti.

Service information: In adherence to the guidelines of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the CDC, Services will be held privately.
