LYNN — Edward J. Brady, age 82, of Lynn, died Friday at his home after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Madeline J. (Connolly) Brady, with whom he shared 57 years of marriage.
Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Killian and Anna (Casey) Brady. A lifelong Lynn resident, he was a graduate of Lynn Vocational and Technical Institute, and Bentley College, where he earned three master’s degrees.
Edward worked as a self-employed CPA as well as for the City of Lynn. He was the treasurer for the Lynn Water and Sewer Commission at the time of his retirement. Edward was a member of Valladolid Council #70, Knights of Columbus, Lynn as well as a member of the 4th Degree.
In addition to his wife, with whom he shared 57 years of marriage, he is survived by his sister, Annemarie Brady Ward and her husband Norman; three brothers, Thomas Brady and his wife Nancy, Joseph Brady and his wife Alicia, and John Brady and his wife Kathy. He is also survived by Alyce Connolly Deveau, his sister-in-law and her family, Bryan Deveau and his wife Stacie, Courtney Deveau Majocha, and Adrianne Deveau Mitchell; as well as many other nieces and nephews, and his beloved Pomeranians, Fiona and Cody. He was also the brother of the late Patrick Brady and Killian Brady.
Service information: Adhering to the guidelines of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the CDC funeral services will be private. Arrangements under the direction of the SOLIMINE Funeral Home, Lynn.
