Annette R. Cormier, 76

ROCHESTER, N.H. — Mrs. Annette Rita (LeBlanc) Cormier, 76, of Rochester, N.H., passed away on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020, at the Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, N.H., surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife of Joseph “Ozzie” Cormier.

Born in Lynn on Oct. 31, 1943 to the late Alfred “Frippie” and Rita (Melanson) LeBlanc. She was a graduate of St. Jean’s High School, graduating with the Class of 1961. Following high school she attended Cambridge School of Business where she got her Associate’s Degree in Accounting. Annette worked various bookkeeping jobs throughout her life, but most recently worked for 10 years driving for the Greater Lynn Senior Services. 

Annette married the love of her life Ozzie in 1965. In 1968 the couple moved to Peabody where they would raise four sons and create more than 50 years’ worth of memories together. She had a love for various activities such as bowling, golf, singing karaoke, dancing, knitting and attending Patriots games. Always the welcoming host, she loved to entertain her friends and family by cooking for them or throwing parties. Annette and Ozzie got bit by the travel bug early on and loved to go on cruises to islands like Aruba and Antigua, and visited Cape Cod for 35 years in a row. 

She is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Joseph “Ozzie” Cormier; her beloved sons, Joseph P. Cormier and his wife Carmen of Lynn, Peter J. Cormier of Salem, Christopher J. Cormier of Tuftonboro, N.H., and Eric E. Cormier and his wife Heather of Rochester, N.H.; her cherished grandchildren, Casey, Pia, Trevor and Isabella; her brothers, Alfred LeBlanc Jr. and his wife Kathie and David LeBlanc and his wife Candace; her sisters, Lorraine Maguire and her husband Thomas and Louise Wilkins. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Service information: Annette’s visiting hours will be held on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2020 from 4-8 p.m. at the CUFFE-MCGINN Funeral Home, 157 Maple St., Lynn. Her funeral will be held from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home on Friday, Feb. 28, 2020 at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at St. Adelaide’s Church, Peabody, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Annette’s name to National Breast Cancer Foundation at www.nationalbreastcancer.org.
