SAUGUS — Mr. Vincent J. Ciampa Jr., age 92, died on Monday, July 22 surrounded by his family at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. He was the husband of the late Edith (Forti) Ciampa.
Born and raised in Saugus, he was the son of the late Vincenzo and Angelina (Pasquarillo) Ciampa. He was a U.S. Navy WWII veteran. He was the owner of the former Jim’s Fruit Market in Lynn for 30 years which closed in 2003 and a former member of the Italian-American Club of Saugus.
Vincent leaves two loving daughters, Joyce Ciampa Shiner of Saugus, Jayne Ciampa and her longtime companion Paul Muise; eight grandchildren, Jimmy and his wife Chrissy, Scott, Jill, Jeanna, Jesse, Steven, Cassidy and Michael; eight great-grandchildren, Ashlee, Juliana, Jimmy, Nicholas, Adriana, Lukas, Logan and Emma. He is predeceased by three brothers, Angelo, Joseph, Carmen Ciampa, and four sisters, Josephine Perullo, Mary Gregorio, Delia Montalbano and Anna Perullo.
