Mrs. Maureen F. (Foley) Tucker, 81, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2019 in The Brentwood Rehabilitation and Nursing Center following a lengthy illness.
Maureen was born in Lynn, the daughter of the late Edward P. and Ruth L. (Linehan) Foley. She was a resident of Lynn for most of her life. Maureen was a graduate of St. Mary’s Girls High School.
Maureen worked as a senior case representative for the Lynn Housing Authority until her retirement. She previously worked as a medical secretary for the late Dr. Walter D. Gilman for many years.
Maureen was a member of the Lynnfield Women’s Club, the Sodality at St. Pius V Church, the Broadway United Methodist Women’s Society, and the Lynn Museum and Historical Society. She was also active with Lynn Youth Hockey and was a Foster Parent for many years. Maureen enjoyed being active in the Lynn community.
She is survived by her children and grandchildren, James Tucker Bradley and his husband Edwin of Boston, Kathleen A. Tucker, her husband Donald E. Latter of Charlestown, and their children, J. Gregory McCarriston Jr. and his fiancee Dayna Canning, Kelly and John Cerulli Brian Latter, Todd and Karen Latter, Keri and Adam Berman; and their grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Diane M. Tucker of Watertown, John A. Tucker, his wife Grace of Wenham, and their children John Jr. (Jay) and Ashley, David T. Tucker of Lynn; his former wife Irene and their son Jack. She is also survived by Jackson T., child of her heart, and her special sons Timothy, Kevin and Aaron.
In addition to her parents, Maureen is predeceased by her sons Richard G. Tucker and Thomas A. Tucker, her daughter Judith E Tucker, her brother John E. Foley and her sister-in-law Carolyn Foley. She was the former wife of the late George R. “Tommy” Tucker.
Service information: Maureen’s visiting hours will be in the CUFFE-MCGINN Funeral Home, 157 Maple St., Lynn, on Wednesday, July 17 from 4-8 p.m. Her funeral will be from the funeral home on Thursday, July 18 at 9 a.m. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Pius V Church, Maple Street, Lynn, at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Item Santa, c/o The Item, P.O.
