LYNN — Mr. Wayne Grey, age 83, of Lynn, died peacefully on Sunday, June 30, 2019, at Boston Medical Center, after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Jeannette (Titus) Grey.
Born and raised in Joplin, Mo., he was the son of the late Duane and Mary (Hargrove) Grey. He had lived in Lynn for the past 30 years.
Wayne had worked for many years for Harbor Auto as a parts expeditor. He had previously worked for the Bane Nursing Centers in maintenance.
Wayne was an active parishioner of the First Lutheran Church in Lynn. He also enjoyed fishing, golf and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Wayne is survived by his children, Tracey Nyman and her husband David of Beverly, Jim Moffett and his wife Deb of Newmarket, N.H., Norm Moffett and his wife Deb of Woodbridge, Va., Diana Wells and her partner Peter Cowden of Marblehead and Wayne “Sonny” Grey Jr. of Missouri; a daughter-in-law, Lisa P. Moffett, wife of John; a son-in-law, Brad Kincade, husband of Yvonne; a sister, Marguerite Grey of Missouri; a brother, Thomas Grey of Kentucky; 16 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was also the father of the late John Moffett and Yvonne Kincade, and the brother of the late Duane, William and Steven Grey, and Jean Whited.
Service information: His funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at 10 a.m. in the First Lutheran Church, 280 Broadway, Lynn. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Monday, July 8, 2019 from 4-8 p.m. in the SOLIMINE Funeral Home, 67 Ocean St. (Route 1A), Lynn.
