Doris “Dot” Pilecki died peacefully at her home on June 18, 2019 with her family at her side.
She was born in Sheffield, England, and was the daughter of Charlotte and Harry Bradford. Dot met and married her husband, and then emigrated to the United States with him and their son.
Dot is survived by her two daughters, Janette Murphy and her husband David Osgood of Beverly and Karen Pilecki of Lynn. She also leaves her grandchildren, Colleen, Lisa, Jannel and Simon; and great-grandchildren, Cameron, Jamil, Athena and Eris. Also left are several nieces and nephews who reside in the United States, England and Canada. Dot was predeceased by her son Jan Nicholas Pilecki and her former husband Frederick Pilecki. Dot was the youngest of seven children and she was predeceased by all.
Service information: Her visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the SOLIMINE Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Route 129), Lynn. Following cremation, a graveside service will be held on Monday at 1:30 p.m. in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Lynn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may meet at the main gate of the cemetery at 1:15 p.m. Memorial donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 are welcomed.
