Gloria N. (Mulvey) (Soucy) Bossidy, 88, died on Monday, March 4, 2019 at the Lawrence General Hospital. She was the wife of the late James E. Soucy, with whom she shared 54 years of marriage, and also was the wife of the late T. William Bossidy, who died in 2010.
Gloria was born on June 13, 1930 in Lynn and was the daughter of the late Francis H. and Jenny (Giguere) Mulvey. She was a graduate of Lynn English High School.
She was employed as a housekeeper for Country Manor in Newburyport and worked in the office at Agawam Mailing in Rowley in her younger years. Gloria was a member of the Sullivan Jones Ladies Auxillary of Poestenkill, N.Y.
Gloria loved the beach, lying in the sun and spending the winters in Palmetto, Fla. She was an avid reader, enjoyed square dancing, walking and bowling in women’s and couples leagues through the years.
She is survived by her two sons, James Soucy and his wife, Karen of Groveland and Michael Soucy and his wife, Sarah of East Wakefield, N.H.; one sister, Patsy Penney of Spring Hill, Fla.; three grandchildren, Ryan Soucy and his wife, Tracy of Merrimac and Kaitlyn and Micheala Soucy of East Wakefield, N.H.; two great-grandchildren, Nora and Thomas Soucy of Merrimac. She was also predeceased by her brother, Francis Mulvey.
Service information: Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 11, 2019 from 10-11 a.m. at the F. S. ROBERTS AND SONS Funeral Home, 14 Independent St., Rowley. A funeral service will follow immediately at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the Main Street Cemetery, Rowley. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gloria’s memory may be made to the Groveland Fire Department, 181 Main St., Groveland, MA 01834.
