Beverly A. (Gilbert) Morse, age 83 of Lynn and formerly of Swampscott, died on Monday, January 21, 2019 at North Shore Medical Center, Salem Hospital following a brief illness. She was the loving wife of Everett A. Morse. Born in Lynn in 1935, Beverly was the daughter of the late Frank and Florence (Clark) Gilbert. She was raised and educated in Lynn and graduated from Lynn English High School in 1953. She worked for many years at Benson Shoe on Broad St. in Lynn until it was destroyed by the Second Great Lynn Fire in 1981. She then went on to work at the General Electric in Lynn until her retirement. She and her husband Everett lived in Swampscott for many years and have been residents of King’s Beach Towers in Lynn for the past 7 years. They enjoyed taking trips to the Mt. Washington and Ossipee Lake regions of New Hampshire and other destinations together. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed the company of her cat Mitzy.
In addition to her beloved husband Everett, Beverly is survived by her brother-in-law George Morse of Florida, her loving care giver Nellie O’Sullivan, her best friend Betty (Porro) Moran of Peabody and her many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Dickie and Frank Gilbert.
