Rosemarie A. Quinn, 104

Rosemarie (Deveau) Quinn, 104, died peacefully, on Nov. 19, 2018. She was the wife of the late James L. Quinn.

Born in Lynn, Rosemarie was the daughter of the late Thomas and Cleophis (LeBlanc) Deveau. She was a graduate of Lynn English High School.

Rosemarie was predeceased by her loving son, J. Lewis Quinn Jr., who passed away May 24, 2018. She leaves behind her sister, Theresa E. Gately; numerous nieces and nephews; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Her love for her family knew no bounds. Rosemarie loved all outdoor activities including camping, skiing, the beach, traveling and most importantly she had an amazing passion and talent for figure skating. Rosemarie was a member and a judge in the United States Figure Skating Association (USFSA) and a member of the International Skating Association. She was a well-known fixture as a skating instructor at Salem State College until she was almost 90 years old.

Rosemarie was known to be feisty to all who knew her. She lived her life to the absolute fullest and brought a light into the lives of all who were blessed to know her. To her grandchildren, she was lovingly known as Yaya.

Service information: A Mass will be held on Saturday, Dec. 15 at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Church, located on 26 Bessom St., Lynn, followed by interment at Pine Grove Cemetery where her remains will be placed along with those of her late husband James.
