Gladys B. Camick

PEABODYGladys B. Camick passed away on Feb. 26, 2016 at Rosewood Nursing and Rehab Center in West Peabody with her family by her side. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Orrin F. Camick, with whom she shared 51 wonderful years of marriage, and her late brother-in-law and wife, Arthur and Dawn Camick.

Gladys and Orrin were the former owners of Riley Bros. Caterers in Lynn. She leaves her daughter, Susan J. Parker and significant other William A. Duly of Peabody; her granddaughter, Jaclyn M. Braga and her husband Anthony of Winchester, her cousin/sister Claire Bolger of Lynnfield and step-sister Harriet Dudevoir of Lynn. She is also preceded in death by two late step-brothers, Lawrence Hall and Francis Hall. She also leaves many cousins, nieces and nephews, and many very close friends.

Gladys taught ceramics at her home for years, loved to knit and enjoyed spending time with her family. She worked at the GE in West Lynn for about 12 years in the Accounting Department during World War II and in later years helped run the family catering business. She leaves a large hole in many hearts and will be sadly missed.

Service information: A funeral service will be held in the CUFFE-MCGINN Funeral Home, 157 Maple St., Lynn, on Monday, Feb. 29, 2016 at 9 a.m. Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn. Visiting hours will be held in the funeral home on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2016 from 3-6 p.m. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Rosewood Employee Fund, 22 Johnson St., Peabody, MA 01960.
