SAUGUS – Mrs. Jacquline E. (Powers) Howard, age 76, died on Wednesday, October 31st at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. She was the wife of the late Donnell M. Howard.
Born in Melrose and a lifelong resident of Saugus, Jackie was the daughter of the late Eugene W. and Mary M. (Quinn) Powers. A retiree from the Town of Saugus she worked for 21 years in the Town Clerk’s Office and the Board of Appeals. Previously she had worked for Catholic Charities. Mrs. Howard enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed trips to see family in Ireland and Seattle, trips to Aruba with friends. She was a volunteer for many years at the Boston Marathon and My Brother’s Table.
She is survived by three children; Chris Howard & his wife Renee, David Howard & his wife Lisa, Julie Brickley & her husband Arthur, six grandchildren; Christian, Ashlyn, Gretchen, Emma, Michael & Declan. She was the sister of the late William E. Powers and sister in law to the late Richard Howard. Jackie leaves behind many cousins, nieces & nephews.
