LYNN — Katherine “Kay” E. (Bretto) Pina, age 84, of Lynn, passed away on August 5, 2018. Kay was a lifelong Lynn resident who graduated from Lynn English High School and was proud of taking classes at the University of Massachusetts. She worked at Lynn City Hall as a Senior Clerk Typist for many years then at the former state welfare office in Lynn before retiring.
Kay was the loving daughter of Thelma (Jarvis) and stepfather Wilson Haines, predeceased by her husband, Juan Pina; mother to John Pina and Carmen and her husband John Gay; grandmother to John and Joseph Gay; sister to Claudia and her late husband Richard Janey.
Service information: Services at the Goodrich Funeral Home will be private at the request of the family.
