HAVERHILL — Phyllis Audrey Elder, of Haverhill and formerly of Saugus and Lynn, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 2, 2018 in the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington at the age of 76.
Born in Lynn on Nov. 24, 1941, she was the daughter of the late George and Lilly (Arnold) Elder. Phyllis was raised and educated in Lynn.
She worked more than 20 years as fabrics manager of the former Rich’s Department Store. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, reading, and tackling crossword puzzles.
Phyllis leavers her daughter, Christina Hawley and her husband, Ronald of Haverhill; her grandson, Devin Hawley of Haverhill; her brothers, Arthur Elder of Saugus and George Elder and his wife, Judy of Saugus, her niece, Kimberly Elder, and her nephew, Scott Elder. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Gerald, Sandra, and Dorothy Elder.
Service information: Visiting hours will be held in the CUFFE-MCGINN Funeral Home, 157 Maple St., Lynn, on Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, Aug. 15 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
