SAUGUS — Mr. John G. “Jack” Olsen, age 57, died unexpectedly on Saturday at his home in Saugus. He was the husband of Chandra (Vieron) Olsen.
Born in Boston and raised in Saugus, he was the son of Kathleen M. (Conlin) Olsen of Saugus and the late Charles E. Olsen. A graduate of Saugus High School and Suffolk University, he received his Master’s Degree from Anna Maria College.
He worked for more than 20 years as a pump operator for the MWRA. Jack was a former manager and coach for the Saugus American Little League.
Besides his wife and mother, Jack is survived by his son, Jackson. He was the brother of Charles Olsen III of New Hampshire, Maureen Olsen of Plymouth, Kevin Olsen of Saugus, Timothy Olsen and his wife Marianne of New Hampshire, Brian Olsen of Danvers, Eileen Aylwin and her husband Andrew of New Hampshire and Michael Olsen and his wife Josephine of Saugus. Jack is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
