Alfred A. Trahan, 93

SAUGUS — Mr. Alfred A. Trahan, age 93, died at the Sunrise Assisted Living Facility in Lynnfield on Wednesday, May 30. He was the husband of the late Tessy (Woods) Trahan and the late Alice (Leahy) Trahan.

Born, raised and a lifelong resident of Saugus, Mr. Trahan was the son of the late George and Adela (Doughty) Trahan. He was a retired carpenter who worked for the U.S. government at the Barnes Building in South Boston. A WWII U.S. Army veteran, Alfred was a member of the DAV at the Navy Yard Sullivan Post #17 and the VFW in Saugus.

Mr. Trahan is survived by his daughter, Ann O’Brien and her partner John Pumphrey of Melrose; three grandchildren, Kerry Hile and her husband Steve of New Mexico, Danielle Desilets and her husband Rick of Lynn, Michelle Zayac and her husband Jeff of Lynn; six great-grandchildren, Spencer, Callie, Hannah, Madison, Kaitlyn, and Deanna; one brother, Raymond Trahan of Maryland; one sister, Irene Beddingfield of Virginia; daughter-in-law, Susan Trahan of Lynn. He was predeceased by his son Robert A. Trahan, grandson Brad Trahan, five brothers and two sisters.
