NAHANT — Susan Mary (Eggeman) Seymour, age 73, of Nahant, died unexpectedly on Friday, May 11 at home after a brief illness.
She was born and raised in London, England and moved to the English suburbs of Andover, Hampshire in the mid-’60s. She was the daughter of the late Herman “Jack” and Florence (Dennis) Eggeman.
She loved her role as a personal assistant and secretary and worked in many fields including legal, banking and facilities management. Her last full time role was for the TSB Trust Company in Andover, Hampshire, England. She worked on many projects and was known for her organization, communication and negotiation skills.
Susan enjoyed everything life had to offer and she was the heart and soul of any gathering. People were drawn to her magnetic personality. She had a quick wit, always had a funny story to share and she loved to laugh. She was an avid gardener and was never happier than when she was planting and creating. Her flower displays were legendary and well known in Nahant! She also loved the performing arts and was a member of an amateur theatrical group for years. She loved the local church, bible classes and community.
She was most proud of her family and their accomplishments. She is survived by her twin children, daughter Julia Bross and her husband Robert; and her son, David Seymour; her beloved grandson, Robert Seymour, Robert Bross and his wife Holly and their daughter Shaylin (Shay), and Derek Bross and his wife Jill; her sister, Elizabeth Waller and her husband John; her brother, Bill and his wife Stella; and her sister-in-law, Sue Eggeman; along with several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews in England. She was predeceased by her brother John.
Service information: Visiting hours will be held at SOLIMINE Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Route 129), Lynn, MA 01904, from 12 noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 19, followed by a memorial service on Sunday, May 20 at 2 p.m. in Nahant Village Church, 27 Cliff St., Nahant, MA 01908.
