PUNTA GORDA, Fla. — Mr. Richard C. Arsenault, 85 years old, of Punta Gorda, Fla., died on May 6, 2018 in the Harbor Health Center in Port Charlotte, Fla. He is the husband of Mrs. Jeanne (Devereaux) Arsenault.
He was born in Pittsfield, the son of the late Ovila and Evelyn (Nagelschmidt) Arsenault. He was a graduate of Valley Forge Military Academy in Wayne, Pa., and a graduate of Tulane University with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Business Administration.
Mr. Arsenault was an Army veteran of the Korean War and served as an officer at the Nike Missile site in Nahant. He enjoyed playing golf and was a member of the Stanwich Country Club in Connecticut and a member of the Ipswich Country Club in Ipswich. Mr. Arsenault worked and traveled extensively in the Far East. He was the senior vice president in International Banking for The American Express Company Asian market. He retired in 1995 after 35 years of service with American Express.
In addition to his wife, with whom he shared 56 years of marriage, he leaves a brother-in-law, Robert J. Devereaux, his nieces and nephews, Paula Devereaux, Ellen Johnson, James Devereaux, Michael Devereaux, James Ogar and Jean Burns.
Service information: His funeral will be held on Monday, May 14, 2018 at 10 a.m. in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 248 Nahant Road, Nahant. Burial in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nahant.
