AMARILLO, Texas — Stanley Theodore Klopotoski Jr. died peacefully after a brief illness in Amarillo, Texas, on April 6, 2018 at the age of 71.
Stanley was born on May 2, 1946 in Ipswich to Alice Marie (Curtin) Klopotoski and Stanley Theodore Klopotoski Sr. of Ipswich. Stanley was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School.
After graduating he enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he bravely served his country fighting in the Vietnam War. Upon being honorably discharged he started his career at the General Electric Co. in Lynn as a machinist where he retired. Stanley was an avid sports fan and had a passion for fishing, which he shared with his children.
Stanley leaves behind three children, Stanley Theodore Klopotoski III and his wife Jennifer of Newton, N.H., Kristin Klopotoski of Lynnfield, and Jason Klopotoski of Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Stanley was married to Dorothy Klopotoski, who predeceased him. He also leaves behind a step-daughter, Latisha Wayman of Amarillo, Texas. He had five grandchildren, Stanley, Kayla, Joshua, Emma and Megan. His siblings, Lawrence Klopotoski of the Philippines, Kenneth Klopotoski of Lawrence, Patricia A. Shaffer of Lawrence, Richard Klopotoski, whom is deceased, and Cheryl Charette of Methuen, along with many nieces and nephews.
Service information: Family and friends are invited to attend Mr. Klopotoski’s funeral service on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 from 2-2:30 p.m. at CUFFE-MCGINN Funeral Home, 157 Maple St., Lynn, MA 01904. Visiting will follow the funeral service at the funeral home from 2:30-6 p.m. Burial with U.S. Navy honors will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery on Broadway in Lynn on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at 10 a.m. (this would have been Stanley’s 72nd birthday).
