LYNN – From Lynn, formerly of Saugus, Mr. Michael D. Contino, age 74, died on Saturday, August 5 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. He was the loving husband of Beth (Hudson) Contino.
Born in Lynn and raised in Saugus, Mr. Contino was the son of the late Louis and Agata (Falzone) Contino. He had been a resident of Lynn for 40 years and had worked as a jet engine inspector at the G.E. Riverworks in Lynn for 37 years. Prior to working at the G.E., he worked for Bronson Navy Yard as a welder. Michael was a friend to everyone with a great sense of humor.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Contino leaves six children, Michael D. Contino and his wife Mary of New Jersey, Lisa Byors and Ken Legere of Salem, Bryan Contino and his wife Bethany of Haverhill, Anthony Contino of Australia, Jennifer Murray and her husband Kirk of Haverhill, Gregory Contino of Arizona; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; one brother, Louis Contino and his wife Susan of W. Newbury; his precious pets, his dog Millie, and cats Amber and Billy. He was predeceased by his siblings Philip Contino and Agatha Contino.
