LYNN — Kenneth W. Elwell, age 51, of Lynn, died unexpectedly on Monday in Union Hospital.
A lifelong Lynn resident, he was the son of the late Lorraine (McDaniel) Wiswall and Gene Wiswall of Florida. He worked in the construction industry for many years. Ken was a professional fighter and Golden Glove boxer.
He is survived by his longtime companion, Tracy Faulkner of Lynn and her loving family; his son, Ken Elwell Jr. of Lynn and his girlfriend Helen Spaneas of Peabody; his grandson, Mason Elwell; his mother-in-law, Marilyn Faulkner of Lynn; two sisters, Ellen Wiswall and Lysa Elwell; and one brother, Gene Wiswall, all of Lynn; the mother of his son, Kelly Kilroy of Salem; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and his two beloved dogs, Hailey and Lola.
Service information: His funeral will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. in the SOLIMINE Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Route 129), Lynn. Burial will be Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours are Thursday from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an animal charity of your choice, or the family asks that you simply pass on a kind word to someone in Ken’s memory.
