MARBLEHEAD — Joel Eric Sher, of Marblehead, entered into rest on June 9, 2017, at the age of 63. Born in Lynn, Joel was son of the late Barney and Lillian (Ostroff) Sher. Joel graduated from Marblehead High School in 1972. He loved to sing and he loved the opera. Joel is survived by his brother Leslie Sher of Marblehead. He is also survived by his cousins; Gerry Sher of Norwood, Robert Sher of California, Leonard Ostroff, Caren (Ostroff) Rubin and Mark Ostroff, all of Florida and formerly of Hull.
Service information: Graveside services will be held at Temple Beth El Cemetery, 506 Lowell St., Peabody, on Wednesday, June 14 at 11 a.m. Arrangements are under the care of STANETSKY-HYMANSON Memorial Chapel, Salem 781-581-2300.
