Marian Kristi Dalton passed away peacefully after a brief illness surrounded by her family at Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers on Tuesday, June 6, 2017, on her parent’s wedding anniversary, joining them now in heaven. Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Roy Dalton and Marion O’Connor Dalton of Swampscott, she was raised in Swampscott, graduating from Swampscott High School. Kristi had many loves in her life, especially her devoted life time companion, Steve. She and Steve made wonderful memories spending summer time on Cape Cod and their shared love of dogs, especially Doberman Pinschers. She loved spending time with her longtime childhood friends and her favorite cousin. She enjoyed dinning out, going to the beach and loved all animals giving generously to many animal organizations. She was an exceptional oil painter with many of her paintings hanging on our walls. Her favorite time of year was Christmas entertaining family and friends at her home on Christmas Eve. She worked for many years up to her illness in the financial industry in Boston. She was a communicant of both St. John’s Church in Swampscott and Holy Family Church in Lynn. She passed away loved by many. Left behind to cherish her memory is her sister, Sandra Dalton Ciani, her niece whom Kristi loved dearly, Lisa Caproni Watson and her children, Thomas Watson, Christopher Watson and Jacob Negron. Her lifetime partner, Stephen Dougherty, her closest childhood friends including Tina Reddy, Carmy Martaurano, Louise Pellegrino, her cousin, Ann Marie, good friend Mary Bertolli and several other cousins. Also left behind are her good friends at Oppenheimer in Boston and her beloved dog, Lady, adopted a few years ago bringing her much joy. Special thanks to Roberto Negron who effortlessly and gently helped take care of her during the last weeks of her life.
